I need a new phone
Now I know Pots is indisposed with illness, my profession hopefully filling him with tablets, but it's about time I made effort other than making comments. I don't quite have time to post daily, but I'll do my best.
The new Nokias are plastic and tacky, I can't stand Sony Ericssons, even though they're probably the better ones on the market, because they have small keypads and aren't renowned amongst my friends for being particularly robust, and the current Samsungs (beside the touch screen) are just slightly updated models of what I have - maybe a bit lighter or a better camera.
To be honest I don't care if my phone sings or dances, I'd rather it just phone and text. Anything else is just an added bonus. But I need it to look nice (I am female after all) and I need it to be reliable, since I use it for work - I'm rarely working in the same place these days, so I need to be contactable so I can be told where I'm going to be tomorrow. Aberdare, as it stands, if you're interested.
I'd wait until after Christmas and send half baked texts until then, but there's nothing exciting due out then either. I'm aware we're in a "financial crisis" but I really need a new phone. Surely there's something out there to suit my needs without being a camera or mp3 player with added bonus of being a phone that works, sometimes?
Anyway, my phone's playing up. I have a Samsung D840 - I've had it for nearly 2 years. The number keys are sticking so it's a pain to text. I'm overdue an upgrade, hanging on since I get a discount the longer I go on with the same phone.
The thing is, I don't like any of the contract phones around at the moment. I can't use a touch screen one, I have nails and its nigh on impossible to send the usual 2000 texts (yeah, I don't know how I have a thumb left either) I send a month on a touch screen.
